Luoyang Hospital in China, conducted a study of Primary total knee Arthroplasty, a total of 60 knee procedures on 50 different patients comparing Pneumatic Tourniquets against HemaClear® silicone ring exsanguination tourniquet. The results show greater clarity of vision for surgeons, less intra-operative bleeding, reduced tourniquet time when using Hemaclear against pneumatic and a reduced pain score post op. Better results for muscle strength and range of motion are key elements to a quicker recovery for the patient.
